Seminars
Seminars play an important role in Ephesians'
three-pronged approach to treatment. Through education, we enhance our
personal growth and supplement our therapy. Ephesians counselors conduct
seminars and workshops for the public and for professional continuing
education.
From Shame to Glory
In this popular seminar, Ms. Kathryn Chamberlin,
LCSW-C, will present a blend of theology and psychology to:
- describe the experience of shame
- relate shame to perfectionism, integrity,
creativity, and inferiority
- differentiate shame from guilt
- specify shaming family behaviors, and
- identify shame-avoiding behaviors.
You will learn:
- To identify and assess your shame.
- To clarify God's heart toward you.
- Why shame and guilt require very different
responses.
- How shame-avoiding behaviors are
generational transfers of shame.
- Why the "shuds" are ungodly.
- The idolatrous part of shame.
