Who We Are

Ephesians Life Ministries is a comprehensive mental health counseling organization serving individuals, couples and families in the DC Metropolitan area. Our mission is to provide professional mental health counseling, education and support to promote healing of mind, body and spirit to anyone who seeks our help.

Our therapists can help you address a wide range of mental health concerns such as marital problems, depression, family issues, anxiety, relationships, anger, and abuse.  We also offer psycho-educational seminars to the public and continuing education seminars to therapists.

While the organization is faith-based and all of the counselors are Christian, Ephesians serves clients of all faiths.  Services are provided by 23 licensed therapists, including licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor, and an advanced practice nurse. Many of our therapists have had advanced training in treating victims of sexual abuse and/or domestic violence, dissociative disorders, sexual and substance addictions and relationship issues. All attend continuing education events regularly to keep their practice current.

In addition to our main office in Silver Spring, counseling is provided in 10 additional locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, including Bethesda, Bowie, Gaithersburg, Laurel, Rockville, and Upper Marlboro in Maryland; and two locations in DC.

Ephesians is not affiliated with any specific church or denomination and receives no public funds.  The ministry is sustained with service fees and donations.

Fees & Gifts

Ephesians is a not-for-profit organization. We participate with most insurance companies and provide assistance for people in financial need who do not have insurance. In order to provide this sort of assistance, we rely on donations to continue our mission.
