The majority of the clients at Ephesians are seen as individuals or couples. In some cases, when a couple or family unit is having difficulties, it is beneficial for the individuals to initially do their own work separately, and then come together with the therapist.

The therapeutic approach varies with the individual needs of the client and may include cognitive and behavioral approaches, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, or family therapy.

Presenting problems may include depression, anxiety, abuse, addictions, relationship problems, eating disorders, behavioral problems, stress, or adjustment problems. The focus of the therapy may change over time, as new issues are shared or uncovered.

All counseling begins with a telephone intake during which we will collect basic information, talk with you about your insurance and/or payment options, and ask you to share briefly why you are seeing help.  This helps us match you with a therapist who is experienced in your particular area of need.
