Fees

Fees for services are as follows:
  • Initial Session – 70 minutes / $200.00
  • Individual Therapy Session - 45 minutes / $150.00
  • Couple and family sessions are $180 per session.
  • My fee for each person participating in group therapy is $40

Payment Is Due at Time of Therapy Appointment

The therapist will collect payment (including insurance co-payments, insurance deductibles, and out-of-pocket payments) at the time of the therapy session. If payment is missed for more than one session, future sessions will be postponed until payment is made against the outstanding balance. Payment may be made with cash or checks made payable to your therapist. In the case of non-payment, your information may be sent to collection agencies for bill payment.

Fees for the preparation of written reports are determined by the amount of time and expense involved in each case. This should be discussed with the therapist before services are rendered. We do not provide psychological or educational testing.

Charge for Missed Appointments:
A fee will be charged for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24-hours notice. This fee is equal to the full fee for your session or $65 if you are an insurance client. If you have a documented illness, death of immediate family member, or other documented emergency, this fee may be waived. Please note that your insurance company will not pay for missed appointments.

Fee for a returned check is $42 (plus the amount of the original check).
Insurance & Non-insurance Use

We are able to accept a variety of types of health insurance such as Aetna, APS, Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicaid, MHN, and United Healthcare. During the registration process, we will ask for your insurance information and will verify benefits. Your counselor will collect your co-pay and we will bill the insurance company for the balance. Please note that you may be responsible for a deductible, and that insurance will not pay for missed appointments.

If we do not accept your insurance, you may have the option to use your out of network benefits with your insurance. If you chose not to use your insurance you will be charged the amount listed above.

Sliding Scale
If you chose to use sliding scale due to lack of mental health insurance, fees are based on income and documentation of income is required. Documentation needed to qualify will include completing the financial statement form and providing an IRS form such as the 1040 or two pay stubs.
